The dust has just about settled after last weekend’s A Most Curious Wedding Fair at Hackney Downs Studios, East London, so I thought it was about time I shared a few pics of my stall!
With over 900 people through the doors over the two days, the fair was a great success and the hangar at Hackney Downs Studios was certainly a great venue.
I was pretty glued to my stall the whole time, so sadly I didn’t get to explore all of the wonderful exhibitors there properly. There were a couple of florists that did catch my eye though…the first being the lovely Sarah “The Flower Bird” who was on the stall next to me and “Ivy Pip & Rose” who had a fantastic floral display on her stall.
I would also like to give a special thank you to the fabulous photographers who have been so kind as to share their photos from the fair with me, Roberta Matis and Martina Capodanno. They are both truly very talented ladies so I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a wedding photographer.
I had lots of little tasters available on the stall for all to try. The macarons and marshmallows proved extremely popular and there was also a lot of interest in the nude feather cake.
Special thanks also go out to my lovely helpers Ashley Fryer of the fantastic food blogs The Greedy Girls and Peach Trees and Bumblebees, my long-suffering fiance Darren and the fabulous Jennie Webber who created my sign for me at very short notice. Jennie has an amazing new website which I URGE you to check out now – her artwork is just incredible!
I’m still receiving so many enquiries about “naked” wedding cakes proving that they are one trend that is certainly sticking around. This little number would make a perfect addition to a dessert table don’t you think?
